“As I write this, California is still part of America. The U.S. Constitution protects the rights of Americans who live in California. The military troops of America would defend California if necessary. However, it seems as if some Californians have forgotten that they are Americans.
Yesterday Fox News reported that the University of California-Davis‘ student senate voted to allow the Stars & Stripes to be removed from its meetings. I wonder how much federal money supports the University of California-Davis. Would they notice if that money were gone?
The article reports:
Writing that “patriotism is different for every individual,” the student senate made the appearance of the flag optional.
Pete Hegseth pointed out that the senate appeared to say that there would be instances where the flag’s presence was inappropriate.
In a statement, Student Senator Jose Antonio Meneses further clarified that the flag was not banned from meetings, but only had its mandated presence lifted.
Phillips said the vote was not an isolated incident, recalling a situation in New Mexico where a student was forced to remove a flag from his dormitory window.
What have we taught our children? Can America stand as a nation if its children are not even willing to tolerate or display its flag? Do the students realize that the flag was part of the freedom that allowed them to get an education and hold their meeting? It is time to start teaching the history and blessings of America in our schools. Obviously some of our students do not understand how fortunate they are to be here.”
President Trump Signs Executive Order Temporarily Halting All Refugees
“I am establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America,” he said.
“President Trump signed an executive order late Friday which temporarily bars refugees from entering the United States.
Trump signed the order on refugees while at the Pentagon, minutes after General James Mattis was sworn in as Secretary of Defense by Vice President Mike Pence at a brief ceremony which the president attended.
Suspended the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days, prohibiting the arrival of refugees into the United States from any country during that period
Ordered the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security to undertake a complete review of the refugee vetting process
Permanently banned Syrian refugees until President Trump determined otherwise, and
Lowered the ceiling of refugees allowed to enter the United States during FY 2017 to 50,000.
Opponents of the federal refugee resettlement program praised Trump’s actions. “This is a great beginning, and much needed,” Ann Corcoran of Refugee Resettlement Watch told Breitbart News.
During the 12 months up to September 30, 2016, the federal government accepted 84,995 refugees in the United States.
In the three months and twenty-seven days since Fiscal Year 2017 began on October 1, 2016, 32,125 refugees have entered the United State
The executive order did however, allow the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security the discretion, on a case by case basis, “to process . . . those refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality.”
The number of refugees granted religious-persecution waivers during the 120 suspension period is likely to be minimal.
Upon the possible resumption of the federal refugee resettlement program on May 27, 120 days from Friday, four months will remain in FY 2017. Slightly more than 4,000 refugees per month, in total 17,875 refugees, would be allowed to enter the United States during the remaining time of FY 2017.
But such a resumption will be contingent upon the judgments of the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence “only for nationals of countries for which [they] have jointly determined that such additional procedures are adequate to ensure the security and welfare of the United States.”
Trump enacts new vetting for foreigners entering the U.S.
– OC Register
“WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump signed an executive action on Friday to establish new vetting procedures for some people seeking to enter the U.S., saying the measure would prevent terrorists from being admitted into the country.
Text of the document was not immediately available. Trump signed it at the Pentagon after a ceremonial swearing-in of his defense secretary, James Mattis.
“I am establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America,” he said. “We want to make sure we are not admitting to our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas.”
The Trump administration has been considering further restrictions on refugees admitted to the U.S., but it was not clear if any of those measures were included in the document the president signed on Friday. Trump said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network on Friday that he regards Christians as a priority for the U.S. refugee program.
“They’ve been horribly treated,” Trump told the network. “Do you know if you were a Christian in Syria it was impossible, at least very tough to get into the United States? If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible.”
State Department data show that 34 Syrian Christian refugees were admitted into the U.S. in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30 and 39 so far in the current fiscal year. By comparison, 12,486 Muslim Syrians were admitted in fiscal 2016 and 4,772 so far this year.
During his campaign, Trump warned that the U.S. risked allowing terrorists to slip into the country as part of the refugee program, pointing to terrorist attacks such as the killing of a French priest and a bombing at a German music festival, as evidence of the danger posed by refugees.
Trump originally proposed a temporary ban on all Muslim immigration to the U.S. After drawing criticism, he subsequently proposed blocking immigration from countries with a “proven history” of terrorism. Other than Syria, he had not specified what countries would meet that definition during his campaign.
“We’ve taken in tens of thousands of people; we know nothing about them,” Trump said Thursday in an interview on Fox News. “They can say they vet them, they didn’t vet them. They have no papers. How can you vet somebody when you don’t know anything about them and you have no papers? How do you vet them? You can’t.”
“Yesterday The New York Post posted an article about a new policy being introduced by President Donald Trump. The policy is part of President Trump’s efforts to get immigration under control and the make people aware of the actions of some Illegal aliens.
The article reports:
President Trump plans to publish a weekly list of crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the Big Apple and all other sanctuary cities that do not cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
The list will inform citizens and others about “public safety threats associated with sanctuary” cities, according to an executive order Trump signed Wednesday.
“The [Homeland Security] Secretary shall utilize the Declined Detainer Outcome Report or its equivalent and, on a weekly basis, make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens,” the order said.
…The list includes serious crimes such as felony assault, rape, murder and terrorism as well as gun smuggling and witness tampering.
Americans who came here illegally have already broken our laws. Those that behave in ways that are a threat to an ordered society or a threat to American citizens should be deported immediately. The list will help make Americans more aware of how much of our crime rate in some cities is attributable to non-existent borders.”
Cuban Migrants on Deadly Journey to U.S. Wrongfooted by Obama
– Yahoo News
“Effective immediately, Cuban nationals who attempt to enter the United States illegally and do not qualify for humanitarian relief will be subject to removal,” Obama said in a statement. “We are treating Cuban migrants the same way we treat migrants from other countries.” The old rule was “designed for a different era.”
Since the United States and Cuba restored diplomatic relations in December 2014, Havana has stepped up its calls to end the “wet foot, dry foot” rule amid a spike in Cubans leaving the island for U.S. soil and using increasingly dangerous routes. The Obama administration’s move essentially denies the benefits of the Cuban Adjustment Act to new Cuban migrants, though officials still urged Congress to repeal the law.
“Essentially, what the agreement means is that past is past, but that the future will be different,” Jeh Johnson, the secretary of Homeland Security, said Thursday.
While Trump has railed against his predecessor’s expansive use of executive power, the transition team quietly supports Obama’s midnight-hour executive action. A source close to the incoming administration, requesting anonymity amid a bumpy transition, indicated that Trump is unlikely to restore the immigration policy because transition officials see the move as being in line with his emphasis on “law and order” and tough talk on immigration.
“This is a good change, because the policy will allow us to return criminal aliens to Cuba while having no impact on the rights of legitimate asylum-seekers,” the source said.
Obama administration officials said the timing of the move was intended to catch Cuban migrants by surprise in order to avoid a mass rush to the mainland United States before the deadline and avert a potential humanitarian crisis.”

Only Some Illegals Are Welcome
“The Associated Press is reporting today the President Obama is changing the policy regarding Cubans who flee to America seeking freedom.
The article reports:
President Barack Obama announced Thursday he is ending a longstanding immigration policy that allows any Cuban who makes it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident.
The repeal of the “wet foot, dry foot” policy is effective immediately. The decision follows months of negotiations focused in part on getting Cuba to agree to take back people who had arrived in the U.S.
“Effective immediately, Cuban nationals who attempt to enter the United States illegally and do not qualify for humanitarian relief will be subject to removal, consistent with U.S. law and enforcement priorities,” Obama said in a statement. “By taking this step, we are treating Cuban migrants the same way we treat migrants from other countries. The Cuban government has agreed to accept the return of Cuban nationals who have been ordered removed, just as it has been accepting the return of migrants interdicted at sea.”
This is from the President who has consistently refused to secure the southern border of America. This is from the President who has been trying for years to make every illegal in America a citizen.
I question the timing of this more than I question the action. I honestly don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but why is it being done a week before President Obama leaves office? Why is President Obama so willing to take Middle Eastern refugees who do not value democracy and so unwilling to take Cuban refugees who are seeking freedom?”
Hillary Clinton Jokes to Goldman Sachs: We’re Going to Give China a ‘Red State’
“Hillary Clinton told Goldman Sachs that she would give the Chinese a “red state” if she was ever in a position where she had to swap territory back and forth with the Chinese.
Clinton made the remarks in a private paid speech to Goldman Sachs on October 29, 2013, according to speech transcripts released as part of Wikileaks’ John Podesta email dump. Clinton first talks about China taking land in the Pacific that the United States could theoretically take, which would re-name the Pacific Ocean the “American Sea”:
Goldman Sachs chairman Lloyd Blankfein then joked about giving the Chinese New Jersey, and Clinton said that we would give the Chinese a red state, according to the transcripts:
MR. BLANKFEIN: These are more technical conversations than I thought they would be. (Laughter.)
SECRETARY CLINTON: Yes, yes. And then he says tome, well, you know, we’ll claim Hawaii. And I said, yeah, but we have proof we bought it. Do you have proof you brought any of these places you’re claiming? So we got into the nitty-gritty of—
MR. BLANKFEIN: But they have to take New Jersey. (Laughter.)
SECRETARY CLINTON: No, no, no. We’re going to give them a red state.”
‘Apprentice’ Contestant Alleges Trump Kissed, Groped Her In LA Hotel
– Talking Points Memo
“Former “Apprentice” contestant Summer Zervos alleged during a Friday press conference with high-profile attorney Gloria Allred that Donald Trump inappropriately kissed and groped her at a Beverly Hills hotel in 2007.
Zervos said that Trump forcibly kissed her twice during a meeting at his New York office. Days later, Zervos alleged that Trump invited her to dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where he followed her around his “bungalow” groping and kissing Zervos as she tried to resist his advances. Allred told reporters that she had spoken with two people Zervos told about the incident at the time in order to verify her account. Zervos appeared on the fifth season of “The Apprentice,” which was broadcast in 2006.
Zervos told reporters that she met Trump while competing on “The Apprentice” and contacted him as a “possible mentor” after she left the show. Trump agreed to meet her in his New York office, according to Zervos.”
Question: Why would the accuser who was kissed ‘inappropriately’ by Trump, go days later willingly to his hotel room?
Why not at the least, meet at a restaurant in public? We do have plenty of restaurants in Los Angeles. /CJ
Gloria Allred’s Epic FAIL In Boston
– the Hayride.com
“Last night Donald Trump, who seems to be engaged in the same publicity-seeking enterprise from the ramparts of the Romney encampment that Gloria Allred is from Obama’s side, said of Allred “she’s a terrible lawyer.”
That was a rather obnoxious statement for Trump to have made, and he defended it by stating that he’s basing that opinion on the personal experience of a friend who had hired Allred with disastrous results.
Trump’s friend was most likely not Maureen Sullivan Stemberg, Allred’s current client in her attempt to influence the election in two weeks. Because it appears Allred committed a major boner in the Boston courtroom from which she was attempting to get a free pass to use her client as a cudgel against Romney.
Allred joined forces with the Boston Globe in an attempt to remove a gag order on the files and principals in Stemberg’s divorce with her ex-husband Tom Stemberg, the founder of Staples and a friend and campaign manager to Mitt Romney. The paper was looking for testimony Romney gave in the divorce proceedings about the value of the company – the final settlement gave Maureen 500,000 shares – and Romney’s attorneys had no problem with releasing that testimony.
But what Allred wanted was for the judge to lift the gag order on her client so she could engage in some form of sensationalist bashing of Romney. And that didn’t go so well.
It’s probably not a clear-cut case of incompetence here; Allred didn’t just forget to file a motion to ungag Miz Maureen (who, by the way, is apparently a raving lunatic making an online home in the Huffington Post fever swamps). What she was trying to do was to fly under the radar until as late in the mission as possible, buffalo the judge into ungagging her client and then conducting a circus on the courthouse steps today in which Maureen unloaded on her philandering scumbag of an ex-husband and accused Romney of enabling him – complete with all kinds of salacious details impossible to disprove.
And the judge wasn’t interested. Why? Because unlike Allred, the judge practices law, not media manipulation.
If you’re looking for somebody who can get you media coverage, it might be worth paying Allred. But if you’re looking for a lawyer, she’s the last person you want.”
“As TMZ reported, Gloria negotiated a $10 million settlement for Rachel … just hours before Rachel was going to hold a tell-all news conference about Tiger Woods. The settlement included a confidentiality agreement, which prohibited Rachel from talking about Tiger.
We’ve learned the agreement stated … if Rachel violated the confidentiality clause … she would not only have to return the money she received but Tiger could sue her for damages as well.
Sources tell TMZ … several months ago Tiger’s lawyer, Jay Lavely, contacted Gloria and said they were going after Rachel because they believed she violated the confidentiality agreement by allegedly speaking with TMZ and going on “Celebrity Rehab” to treat her “addiction to love” — though she never talked specifically about Tiger on the show.
We’re told Rachel felt strongly she had not violated the agreement, but Gloria allegedly convinced her she would lose if push came to shove, so Gloria struck a deal with Lavely — that Rachel would return the lion’s share of the settlement money.
But our sources say … what has Rachel fuming is that Gloria allegedly made a deal with Jay Lavely — that Gloria would still get all of her attorney’s fees. Rachel believes Gloria sold her out … allegedly making a deal with Tiger’s lawyer to strong-arm Rachel into giving the money back and in return Gloria would get her fee — a fee Gloria would not have received if Rachel went to arbitration and lost.
We’re told Rachel went along with the deal, but as time went on she felt she had gotten screwed, and then hired a malpractice lawyer who has made a demand on Gloria to either pay Rachel what she gave back or get sued.
We contacted Gloria, who said, “No comment.” Ditto Rachel, who was also mum.
UPDATE: TMZ asked Gloria if her law partner, Nate Goldberg, was the lawyer who negotiated Rachel’s big give-back to Tiger. This time she said she couldn’t answer because of “attorney-client privilege.””
“On Wednesday, The Washington Free Beacon posted a story that provides a bit of insight into the barrage of recent attacks on Donald Trump.
The article reports:
NBC executives planned to release the tape of Donald Trump’s sexually explicit remarks on an Access Hollywood hot mic to have maximum impact on the election and the second presidential debate, TMZreported Wednesday.
NBC sources told TMZ that executives knew about the bombshell 2005 tape long before they say they did, but they elected to hold off leaking it because they did not want it to come too early in the race. The tape was reported first by the Washington Post on Oct. 7, two days before Hillary Clinton and Trump’s town hall debate, and it dominated the news cycle through the weekend.
The article quotes a TMZ article from Monday:
TMZ has confirmed … Billy was telling NBC staffers in Rio about the tape back in early August, when he was still working for “Access Hollywood.” We’re told word circulated because Billy made it clear Trump was trash-talking Nancy O’Dell.
NBC News says it didn’t know about the outtakes until a week ago Monday, but the word around the network is people knew, including executives at ‘Access,’ which is an NBC property. We’re told those executives had full knowledge of Billy’s comments on the tape … which creates a potential problem if NBC is serious about firing him.
We are being played. There is also a source that indicates that NBC edited the tape to make it sound worse than it actually was (how much worse could it get?).
It’s time to look past the garbage that is being thrown at us. Some of the stories from the women making charges against Donald Trump have already been disproved. There are also direct connections between some of these women and the Clinton Foundation and Democratic organizations. There is also the fact that Donald Trump has been in the public eye for at least thirty years, and this is the first time we have heard any of this. That in itself is a little unbelievable.”
“At tonight’s debate, Donald Trump faced off not just against Hillary Clinton, but against moderator Lester Holt.
The game of two-on-one saw Holt ask no questions about:
The Clinton Foundation
While ignoring these issues, Holt grilled Trump on stop-and-frisk, the birther story, his comments about women, his many bankruptcies, why he hasn’t released his tax returns — and a host of other issues the media sees as unfriendly to the Republican candidate.”
We Need To Listen To The People On The Front Lines
Lifezette is reporting today that the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council has endorsed Donald Trump for President.
The article reports:
The National ICE Council, the union representing 5,000 federal immigration officers and law enforcement support staff, decided to endorse the GOP nominee after carefully considering the impact a Hillary Clinton presidency would have on their officers. Saying that Clinton has embraced the “unconstitutional executive orders” of President Barack Obama, Chris Crane, president of the National ICE Council, said in a statement that these orders “have forced our officers to violate their oaths to uphold the law and placed every person living in America at risk — including increased risk of terrorism.”
According to the article, this is the first time the National ICE Council has endorsed a candidate in a national election. This is important. We need to listen to these people as they are on the front lines of our fight against domestic terrorism.”
