MYSTERY: Car Speeds Out of Woods as POTUS Trump’s Limo Passes By in Springfield, MO

|| theGatewayPundit

“A video posted to YouTube on Wednesday shows a mysterious white car speeding out of the woods just as President Trump’s limo was passing by in Springfield, MO. The car makes hard contact with the concrete drain and quickly pulls over to the shoulder.

“Oh my gosh! Look at that car that just came out of the woods,” said one of the men watching as President Trump’s limo passed by.

“That car right there just drove out of the woods!”, the man repeated.

What appear to be Secret Service agents then did a U-turn and exited their truck to engage the people inside the white car.”

Should Free Speech Be Protected On Social Media?

|| HotAir

“When the neo-nazi website Daily Stormer was shut down I wrote that GoDaddy had every right to stop hosting the domain of a group that was making the company look bad by association. Legally I still think that’s accurate. The First Amendment protects us from government censorship not the actions of private companies. But there’s an interesting article in the Guardian today which argues the recent urge to run people off social media is making a mockery of the U.S. approach to free speech:

The primary principle at stake – that the US and the internet both remain free speech zones, even for Nazis – has never been more fraught.

“This is a really terrible time to be a free speech advocate,” said Jillian York, director for international freedom of expression at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. “It’s a ‘First they came for the … situation,” she said, referring to the famous Martin Niemöller poem about the classes of people targeted by Nazis, “only in reverse”…

“Historically, the place you went to exercise your speech rights was the public square. Now the equivalent is Twitter and YouTube and Facebook,” said Daphne Keller of the Stanford Center for Internet and Society. “In a practical matter, how much you can speak is not in the hands of the constitution but in the hands of these private companies.”

The piece goes on to argue that the modern day public square has a lot in common with Zuccotti Park, the privately owned park in New York which Occupy Wall Street took over back in 2011. Ultimately, the fact that the park was privately owned meant the owners could change the rules about how the park was used without any public input.

I see the point the author is making but ultimately there is a difference between a physical space and a digital one. When Occupy took over Zuccotti they harmed local businesses and also prevented other people from enjoying the park. Physical spaces are a zero sum game. Neo-nazis or far left groups may do some damage to the “neighborhood” on social media sites, but they don’t take up all the space available to everyone else. It’s possible to simply ignore them in a way it wouldn’t have been possible for someone taking a stroll to ignore the Occupy encampment in Zuccotti Park in late 2011.

It’s worth pointing out that it really is people on both sides who eventually run afoul of this. In Germany, authorities recently banned a left-wing website popular with Antifa. From the NY Times:

Thomas de Maizière, the interior minister, said that the unrest in Hamburg, during which more than 20,000 police officers were deployed and more than 400 people arrested or detained, had been stirred up on the website and showed the “serious consequences” of left-wing extremism.

“The prelude to the G-20 summit in Hamburg was not the only time that violent actions and attacks on infrastructural facilities were mobilized on linksunten.indymedia,” he said, referring to the website.

The Interior Ministry said the website was the “most influential online platform for vicious left-wing extremists in Germany,” and noted that it had been used for years to spread criminal content and to incite violence.

This is the action of a government, not a private company. Still, it’s not hard to see how a European approach to banning “hate speech” eventually leads to silencing speech on both sides. To be clear, I don’t support the beliefs or visit the websites of either neo-nazis or Antifa, but I believe there is a principle that matters here. Once the speech-banners get a taste of victory with the extreme cases, they could continue to narrow the window of what is acceptable. That seems like a dangerous game to play even if the government isn’t involved meaning it’s not covered by the First Amendment.

I expressed skepticism of the idea of regulating social media companies like a utility, but my hesitation is really contingent on those companies placing a high value on freedom of speech. If we start seeing them become European style censors I might have second thoughts.”

Why you should never use the term ‘anti-fascist’

|| Washington Examiner

“No USA at all!”

“This was the chant of the violent, black-masked thugs who descended on an otherwise peaceful protest in Berkeley over the weekend. And it gives you a window into the tactics of the violent fringes of the Left. They attempt to lure in normal, reasonable people — which they most certainly are not — by showcasing a common enemy, such as racism or fascism. But that’s just a sweetener for their real agenda item.

Lots of normal, reasonable people oppose Donald Trump. Many of them oppose the border wall, too. But the third item on this agenda is the (usually) unstated aim of the so-called “antifa,” from which the other two items are supposed to draw your attention — except when they get over-excited and spell it out with a silly chant.

This is the whole point of the label “anti-fascist,” and it has been for roughly 85 years now. Everyone — especially journalists — needs to stop using that label, because it’s part of their propaganda, an effort by people unworthy of polite company to fish for mainstream endorsements from dumb and naive fellow-travelers.

The term “anti-fascist” is of Soviet origin, and it was used before and during World War II to make the aggressive, murderous, war-criminal regime of Joseph Stalin seem more palatable. The entire point then, as now, was to make it seem like the U.S.S.R. had a lot in common with normal, decent people’s views, even as millions were being shipped off to die in the archipelago of slave-labor camps that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn experienced for eight years. (His crime? An irreverent reference, in a letter, to Stalin’s moustache.)

The historian Norman Davies has this to say about the term “anti-fascist” in his history of the Second World War, which is titled “No Simple Victory”:

Anti-Fascism” did not offer a coherent political ideology. In terms of ideas, it was an empty vessel, a mere political dance….It gave the false impression that principled democrats believing in the rule of law and freedom of speech could rub along fine with the dictators of the proletariat, or that democratic socialists had only minor differences with Communism.

What is more, it opened up a wonderful arena for the activities of disciplined activists, whose training in the Leninist techniques of splitting and dividing adversaries would run rings round wooly intellectuals….If you were a French trade unionist, tired of the wrangles of the Left, or a British Empire loyalist baffled by the complexities of modern politics or a Christian peace worker hoping to avoid another war, anti-Fascism was for you! Only in the background was the unspoken dialect that, if Fascism was to be Bad, the Good had to lie with the originator of anti-Fascism — Joseph Stalin’s USSR.

Stalin is dead and the U.S.S.R. is just a historical lesson of what happens every time an actual socialist state is formed in real life. But the term “anti-fascist” is being used for the same ends today as it was then. Violent leftists want to make their assaults on others’ life and property — almost identical to the sort of thing neo-Nazis engage in, only for different reasons — seem justifiable. And they do this by defining themselves as a force opposed to something that all ordinary, decent people find repulsive.”

Dinesh D’Souza explains how Nazis were anything but ‘conservative’
|| WND

“For a generation, progressives have portrayed fascism and Nazism as exemplified by sexual repression and moral conservatism. In this view, the left has an anti-Nazi sensibility because the left is into bohemianism and sexual expression. In my new book, “The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of American Left,” I show that the fascists and Nazis, far from being repressed moral conservatives, were themselves sexually and stylistically bohemian. In style as well as in ideology, fascism and Nazism are phenomena of the political left.

The whole notion that fascism and Nazism are forms of sexual repression is the invention of one man, Herbert Marcuse of the so-called Frankfurt School. Himself a refugee from Nazi Germany, Marcuse was a Marxist who detested Christianity and capitalism with the same passion that he hated Hitler. In the period after World War II, Marcuse set about to mobilize the hatred Americans felt for Nazism against America’s own capitalist and Christian social and sexual mores.

According to Marcuse, America had its own form of fascism, and that was modern, technological, capitalist society. In his book “Eros and Civilization,” Marcuse insisted that America had established elaborate systems for controlling our sex organs, what Marcuse terms the “sacrifice of libido.” Marcuse blamed not merely the free market system for supposedly codifying and merchandizing sex – turning it into a commodity – but he also blamed religious and social mores for repressing and enslaving the sex instincts. Unfortunately, Marcuse noted, there is currently in America a “channeling of sexuality into monogamous reproduction” and a “taboo on perversions.”

Marcuse proclaimed that this “suppressed sexuality” was indicative of an emerging American fascism. Without being released, he wrote, it “manifests itself in the hideous forms so well known” including the “sadistic and masochistic orgies” of prison inmates and “concentration camp guards.” Marcuse’s mantra was: Away with all this. Liberate the libido. Let it all hang out. Marcuse termed what he was promoting as “polymorphous sexuality.”

Marcuse’s celebration of outright perversion was a mantra that could not be more perfectly timed in the 1960s, when a generation of young activists became alienated from their parents, their preachers and the norms of their society. They were looking for a sex guru, and Marcuse became their apostle of sexual freedom. Marcuse formally rejected this description of himself – he liked the pose of the disinterested scholar – but he also understood that this was precisely the basis for his celebrity status with the 1960s counterculture. What the children of the sexual revolution liked most about Marcuse was that he gave a lofty basis for their genital adventures. Basically, Marcuse made sexual bohemianism into a valiant expression of anti-fascism.

In reality, Marcuse was pulling off a major scam. While the rutting bohemians of the 1960s had no idea, Marcuse surely knew that the Nazis and the Italian fascists were themselves – almost to a man – bohemians. Hitler himself was a painter and artiste before he went into politics. He was obsessed with music and regularly attended the Bayreuth Festival; Wagner’s music, Hitler said, reflected the triumph of art over life. He was also a vegetarian. Hitler had a secret mistress, Eva Braun, whom he only married the day before the two of them committed suicide. In their case, “till death do us part” was literally a matter of hours.

Hitler also despised Christianity as a kind of disease and regularly spoke of seeking its eventual eradication in the Third Reich. “Pure Christianity,” Hitler said, “leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. … Let us be the only people who are immunized against the disease.” While he recognized the political inadvisability of openly attacking Christianity, privately Hitler called it “an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless.” Of Christianity, Hitler said, “The catastrophe for us is that of being tied to a religion that rebels against all the joys of the senses.”

Heinrich Himmler, Hitler’s No. 2 man and head of the SS, was an atheist who took his secretary, Hedwig Potthast, as his mistress. Although he is sometimes portrayed as an uptight moral traditionalist, nothing could be further from the truth: Himmler envisioned human breeding farms in which selected Aryan types would promiscuously breed with selected Aryan women to produce, in the words of historian Sarah Helm, “a constant supply of perfect Aryan children.”

Himmler was also a natural-food guy who was an eager proponent of organic farming. He insisted on organic food being grown in concentration camps, and once stopped by Auschwitz for no other reason than to visit the vegetable garden there. Many of the top Nazis condemned the congestion of the cities and affirmed the value of living in communion with nature; historian Stanley Payne writes that we find in Nazism “the first major expressions of modern environmentalism.”

Goebbels was also an atheist and philanderer who had a series of notorious affairs, one with the Czech actress Lida Baarova. He also wrote a play and an autobiographical novel. He fancied himself a romantic; indeed, his doctoral thesis at Heidelberg University was on the German romantics. Before Goebbels entered politics, he wanted to be an artist and writer. Had he lived today, it is easy to envision him living in Greenwich Village and teaching romance languages at Columbia University or NYU.

Progressives and leftists sometimes seek to vindicate Marcuse, and prove the moral traditionalism of the fascists, by claiming the fascists were anti-homosexual. While it’s true that homosexuals were one of the groups later rounded up for the concentration camps, this had nothing to do with moral reservations. Rather, it was based on the Nazi idea that it was imperative for Germany to multiply its Nordic or Aryan population, and homosexuality was seen as impeding that process. Two flamboyant Nazi homosexuals – the party’s legal specialist Helmut Nicolai and Achim Gerke who served in Hitler’s Interior Ministry – were purged in 1935 on that basis.

As was widely recognized in the 1920s and 1930s, a significant number of the Nazi Brownshirts, including the group’s head, Ernst Rohm, were homosexual. William Shirer tells us that the head of the Munich Brownshirts, Edmund Heines, was not only gay but also a convicted murderer. The Communists and Social Democrats derided the Nazi Brownshirts by calling them names like the Brotherhood of Poofs in the Brown House.

Himmler and Goebbels, fearful that a gay reputation would hurt the political prospects of the Nazi Party, urged Hitler to reduce the homosexual presence among the Brownshirts. But Hitler refused, saying that these things were “purely in the private sphere.” The Brownshirts, he emphasized, were not a “moral establishment” but rather a “band of fighters.” Why, Hitler asked, should he care what they did in the bedroom when they did the job they were meant to do?

The Brownshirts only became a problem when they threatened to displace the German police and the armed forces as the country’s enforcement brigade. Hitler needed the army and the police, and so he reluctantly agreed to suppress the Brownshirts. When Hitler showed up to arrest Rohm and his top lieutenants at the Hanselbauer Hotel, he found himself in the middle of a gay orgy. The first door Hitler kicked open revealed Heines naked in bed with an 18-year-old Brownshirt troop leader. Hitler told him, “If you are not dressed in five minutes, I’ll have you shot on the spot.” Heines jumped from under the sheets and did the Heil Hitler salute.

When Hitler’s men opened Rohm’s door the Brownshirt leader feigned a very casual attitude. Hitler simply told him, “You’re under arrest.” One by one, doors opened and Brownshirt couples came streaming out, in various stages of undress. This was the Nazi atmosphere in those days, and it far more closely resembles that of the Village Voice or the Democratic National Convention than it does the National Review or the Trump White House.

This history is relevant to refute Marcuse’s contention – which has now virtually become conventional wisdom – that fascism and Nazism were straight-laced and socially conservative. That is part of the larger myth that fascism and Nazism are right-wing phenomena. In reality, as the cultural and sexual bohemianism of the fascists and Nazis confirms, the fascists then, like the fascists now, are firmly anchored on the political left.

Rescued Woman Goes Off On CNN For Hurricane Harvey Coverage

|| Daily Caller

“A woman who was rescued from Hurricane Harvey after 36 hours went off on CNN for trying to interview her on camera while she was with her children.

The mother began the interview by explaining how long she had to wait to be rescued, but was becoming visibly upset and anxious by having to share her story to the CNN correspondent.

The CNN correspondent continued to ask questions and touch the mother’s arm as she and her daughter were crying.

“We walked through four feet of water to get food on the first day,” the mother said, clearly annoyed at this point. “Yeah, that’s a lot of shit.”

“But y’all sit here, y’all trying to interview people during their worst times — like that’s not the smartest thing to do. Like people are really breaking down and y’all sitting here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us what the fuck is wrong with us,” she continued.

“And you really trying to understand with the microphone still in my face? With me shivering cold, with my kids wet, and you still putting the microphone in my face.”

CNN cut back to Jim Acosta, who awkwardly said they would go back to the correspondent later because of the “upset family.”

FBI Denies FOIA Request For Hillary Documents Due To “Lack Of Public Interest”

|| ZeroHedge

“It was just over a year ago that James Comey boldly consolidated the roles of investigator, lawyer, judge and jury when he announced that, although Hillary was “extremely careless” in her mishandling of classified State Department emails, no reasonable prosecutor would be willing to bring charges against her.

The decision sparked national outrage, particularly since it came just a few days after Bill Clinton happened to be spotted by a local reporter meeting privately with then Attorney General Loretta Lynch on a tarmac in Phoenix.  Combine that with Comey’s admission under oath that Loretta Lynch clearly attempted to interfere in the FBI’s investigation and it all wreaked of just another Clinton coverup…said another way, just a bunch of Republicans trying to “criminalize things that are normal.”

Be that as it may, at least one attorney, Ty Clevenger of New York, has been working diligently to make sure that Hillary and various members of her staff face at least some consequences for their alleged crimes which range from perjury under oath to willful destruction of evidence protected by a Congressional subpoena, among many others. We noted the efforts of Clevenger to get Hillary disbarred in the state of Arkansas back in June in a post entitled “Hillary Not “Out Of The Woods”: Arkansas Bar Considers Disciplinary Action Over Email Scandal.”

Alas, it seems as though Clevenger’s pursuit of Hillary has been has been held up by the FBI for a rather curious reason, namely a “lack of public interest.”

Dear FBI, on behalf of Mr. Clevenger, please allow us to submit Exhibit A regarding the public’s interest in this and all future FOIA requests regarding Mrs. Clinton’s records…there are roughly 63mm people (and probably a couple of Democrats as well) who are very eager to learn anything you might have to disclose regarding Hillary’s alleged transgressions.”

23 Chinese Illegal Aliens Caught near Cartel Tunnel at U.S.-Mexico Border

|| Breitbart

“Twenty-three illegal immigrants from China and seven from Mexico used a cartel tunnel to sneak into California. The arrest uncovered an illicit ingress point near a U.S.-Mexico port of entry, revealing the latest structure in a vast network used to smuggle humans and drugs.

The arrest took place in San Diego when U.S. Border patrol agents arrested a group of illegal immigrants who just crossed from Mexico into California, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the U.S. Border Patrol revealed. Some tried to run back to Mexico, triggering a short chase by authorities. While searching the surrounding area near the Otay Mesa international port of entry, agents uncovered a crude opening in the ground with a ladder inside.

In total, authorities arrested 23 Chinese nationals and seven Mexicans. A search of the tunnel did not reveal any narcotics, however as Breitbart Texas has reported, tunnels are a favored method to move illegal immigrants and drugs into the U.S. particularly, on the California and Arizona border areas.

A recently released report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found from 2011 through 2016, 67 tunnels were discovered along the U.S.-Mexico Border. Sixty-two out of the 67 were in the Border Patrol’s Tucson, Arizona, and San Diego, California, sectors–which are known strongholds for the Sinaloa Cartel.”

Border agents arrest 12 after smuggling boats spotted near beaches

|| FoxNews5 San Diego

“Federal agents detained a dozen people suspected of entering the country illegally early Thursday after spotting them in the ocean aboard a pair of small fishing boats, headed for landings in Mission Beach and Sunset Cliffs.

The first of the two unsuccessful human-smuggling runs came to light shortly before 2:30 a.m., when a camera operator at the multi-agency Joint Harbor Operations Center on San Diego Harbor spotted a crowded skiff offshore from Belmont Park and notified the U.S. Border Patrol, according to USBP public affairs.

The boat landed near Ostend Court, where 10 people ran onto the beach, officials said. The operator of the boat then re-launched into the sea and headed back to the south.

Within minutes, Border Patrol agents arrived in the area where the migrants had debarked and took them all into custody.

Minutes later, JHOC personnel spotted a second small watercraft just west of Sunset Cliffs. It soon landed near the western terminus of Adair Street. The group then raced up a slope and a set of stairs below the Beach Cliff Villas where federal personnel intercepted and arrested two people and seized the motorboat.

Pictures of the panga-style boats showed the vessels were from Ensenada, which is about 75 miles south of Mission Beach.

The detainees — seven men and five women ranging in age from 19 to 43, one of them from Guatemala and the rest Mexican nationals — were all in the country illegally, according to the Border Patrol.”

Weekend Box Office: Moviegoing Slows to a Standstill Amid Historic August Slump

|| The Hollywood Reporter

“Hurricane Harvey is prompting theater closures in Texas, while Saturday’s Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight will be a big pay-per-view draw.

Mother Nature certainly isn’t helping the dramatic downturn at the August box office, where revenue for the weekend could hit its lowest level in more than 15 years, in addition to being down nearly 50 percent from the same frame last year.

Hurricane Harvey has prompted theater closures in Corpus Christi and other locales along the Texas Gulf Coast. Inland, numerous cinemas have also shuttered in Houston.

Even without the storm, none of the weekend’s new offerings were expected to earn more than $5 million, and that’s proving to be the case.

Animated family film Leap!, from Harvey Weinstein’s shop, is projected to do the best, earning an estimated $1.6 million Friday for a projected $4.8 million-$5 million debut from 2,575 theaters for a third-place finish behind holdovers The Hitman’s Bodyguard ($9 million) and Annabelle: Creation ($7.5 million), respectively. Hitman’s Bodyguard will join only a short list of films to ever win a weekend with less than $10 million, at least in modern times.

Birth of the Dragon, from Blumhouse’s microbudget genre label BH Tilt, looks to open in the $3 million range after grossing $1.1 million Friday from 1,618 theaters. The film, directed by George Nolfi, is a fictionalized account of when Bruce Lee challenged kung fu master Wong Jack Man to a fight in the mid-1960s in San Francisco. Birth of the Dragon stars Hong Kong-born actor and martial artist Philip Ng, Xia Yu, Billy Magnussen, Qu Jingjing, Jin Xing and Simon Yin. The pic earned a B CinemaScore.

Box-office experts say an even bigger threat to moviegoing than Hurricane Harvey is Saturday’s Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight, which is being carried on pay-per-view. It will also be beamed into roughly 500 theaters via Fathom and Mayweather Productions. (Another special offering this weekend is James Cameron’s 4K 3D conversion of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which AMC Entertainment is releasing in select locations).”

The 2017 summer box office is Hollywood’s worst since 2006

|| MarketWatch

“It’s official, summer 2017 is on its way to being the first sub-$4 billion summer at the box office in a decade.

With about 10 days left in the summer movie season — defined as the first Friday in May through Labor Day weekend — the box office has garnered $3.6 billion. The summer box office is down 13.4% compared with last year and down 13.8% compared with 2015, according to data from Box Office Mojo.

ComScore media analyst Paul Dergarabedian said he didn’t see a way the summer box office makes it to $4 billion.

There’s nothing for the box office to really feast on until the Oct. 8 release of “Blade Runner 2049.”

“The crazy thing is, there’s not even a single wide release scheduled for the Labor Day weekend,” Dergarabedian said. “To show you how dead the box office really is, ‘Wonder Woman’ is expanding and they’re rereleasing ‘Baby Driver.’ Two films from June are coming back to take advantage of the lull. If that’s not telling, then I don’t know what is.”

Of the new releases and films in theaters this weekend, analysts at Box Office said, “in an already slow box office market, things look to remain very quiet despite three new films opening.””

Pelosi Calls For Banning “Patriot Prayer” Rally From San Fran Public Park: You Can’t Shout “Wolf” In A Crowded Theater

|| HotAir

“I don’t know where to begin. Let’s just go in order.

1. Who the hell says “you can’t shout ‘wolf’ in a crowded theater”? The expression is “you can’t shout ‘fire’ in a crowded theater.” Maybe the “wolf” example was more relevant in the 19th century, when Pelosi was growing up.

2. The point about being barred from shouting “fire” in a crowded theater comes from a case that’s nearly a hundred years old, hasn’t been good law for nearly 50, and today is widely considered an abomination of free-speech jurisprudence. For good reason: The point about fire in a crowded theater is easily abused to justify silencing “dangerous” speakers whether or not they’re really dangerous. (The case it comes from, in fact, upheld the conviction of an anti-war protester handing out leaflets encouraging draft dodging.) It’s an invitation to censorship on vague “public safety” grounds. To her credit, the reporter here does what reporters rarely do in instances like this and fact-checks Pelosi on that at the end of the clip. She’s quite right that the modern law of criminal incitement is waaaaay narrower than ye olde “fire in a crowded theater” example.

3. I don’t know a thing about the “Patriot Prayer” group that’s organizing the rally in San Francisco. Pelosi insists they’re a white nationalist outfit, but given the low bar the Southern Poverty Law Center has for designating right-wing outfits “hate groups,” the fact that Patriot Prayer hasn’t made the cut makes me suspect they’re far removed from being proper alt-righters. The leader of the group doesn’t, er, look alt-right, and he’s been stressing in interviews lately that only one of the eight speakers booked for the upcoming rally is white. Guns and tiki torches have also been banned from the rally as a condition of the permit, making Pelosi’s claim about danger even thinner. I think Joey Gibson, the leader of the group, is quite right about the politics of incitement here:

And, he said, Pelosi actually made the rally “more dangerous.”

“Nancy Pelosi said it was a white supremacist rally so she could bring out extremists on the right and the left,” Gibson said. “She’s telling white supremacists to come into town.”

She’s all but telling Antifa to come to town by painting Patriot Prayer as some sort of dangerous Nazi group, and when they do, she’ll use that to try to retroactively justify her “wolf” point about danger.

But never mind all that. Assume Pelosi’s right that they’re white nationalists. On what grounds does that justify denying them access to a public space for a rally? If counter-protesters show up wanting to throw down, that’s not evidence that Patriot Prayer is dangerous, it’s evidence that Pelosi’s lefty friends are. Unless I’ve misunderstood her she’s all but openly endorsing the “heckler’s veto” here in recommending that citizens be denied the right to speak on public property because the reaction to them might turn threatening. It’s pure viewpoint discrimination. Retire, Nancy.”

Awan Brothers Scandal Creates Fears About Scope of Dems Data Leak

|| theDeepState

The brothers were also employed by members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, such as: Jackie Speier (D-CA), Joaquín Castro (D-TX), and Ted Lieu (D-CA)

“Imran was first employed in 2004 by former Democrat Rep. Robert Wexler (FL) as an “information technology director”, before he began working in Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s office in 2005.

The family was paid extremely well, with Imran Awan being paid nearly $2 million working as an IT support staffer for House Democrats since 2004. Abid Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were each paid more than $1 million working for House Democrats. In total, since 2003, the family has collected nearly $5 million.

The staffer’s services were so important to congressional members, that on March 22, 2016, eight Democrat members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issued a letter, requesting that their staffers be granted access to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). Of those that signed the letter were representatives Jackie Speier (CA) and Andre Carson (IN), the second Muslim in Congress, both of whom employed the Awan brothers.

The brothers were also employed by members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, such as: Jackie Speier (D-CA), Andre Carson (D-IN), Joaquín Castro (D-TX), Lois Frankel (D-FL), Robin Kelly (D-IL), and Ted Lieu (D-CA). Lieu has since openly called for leaks by members of President Trump’s administration despite the fact that he may until recently have been under surveillance by a foreign entity.

One bombshell that has been all but ignored by the main stream media is that Imran Awan had access to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s iPad password, meaning that the brothers also had direct access to the notorious DNC emails.”

Judge Blames Trump for Illegal Alien’s Deadly Hit-and-Run with U.S. Marine ‘Fear of Deportation’

|| theGatewayPundit

A Maryland judge blamed President Donald Trump for the fear that caused an illegal alien to flee the scene of a collision that killed a 21-year-old U.S. Marine. The illegal alien fled the scene after he crashed his BMW 335i into the Marine’s motorcycle.

Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Larua Kiessling said, from the bench, she received many letters about the case expressing concern about the “current political climate” where President Trump has been “harshly critical of illegal immigration and of Mexico in particular,” the Capital Gazettereported. The judge said it is “reasonable to conclude” that the defendant, Martin Martinez-Ballinas, would flee the scene out of fear of being deported.

“I’m not going to sentence based on the political environment,” Keissling told the courtroom.

Maryland defense attorney Kush Arora told Breitbart Texas that Martinez-Ballinas’s fear does not matter as to guilt or innocence. “It doesn’t matter why he ran, only that he knowingly fled the scene.” He added that the fear could be considered by the judge as a mitigating factor in sentencing.

The judge then handed down a sentence of six years in prison for what the State’s attorney called a “cowardly act.” The maximum sentence for the felony crime is 10 years and a $10,000 fine.

The court convicted Martinez-Ballinas, 29, for fleeing the scene of a February 24 crash that resulted in the death of Marine Lance Corporal James Ray Walden III. Evidence presented in the case revealed Martinez-Ballinas was speeding in his BMW 335i when he lost control while negotiating a curve. He then struck a motorcycle driven by Corporal Walden.

The Mexican national then fled the scene and hid in a nearby quarry. Police found him hiding a short time later. His attorney said his client ran because he was afraid of being deported.

Corporal Walden was a third generation military veteran. He followed his father, James Walden II, and his grandfather into service. He was stationed at Fort George G. Meade at the time of the crash.

Walden said he had encouraged his son to continue the military tradition of service and the James Walden name. “I had the privilege of watching him grow into a good man,” Walden told the Maryland newspaper. “The name James Ray Walden stops here.”

The Marine’s mother, Susan Walden, sat in the courtroom and cried as she listened to the details of the crash that killed her son, the newspaper reported. “It is the walking away that is the problem in this particular case. It is walking away and hiding,” she told the reporter. “It is walking away to protect one’s self.”

Following his arrest, officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed an immigration detainer on Martinez-Ballinas and confirmed him to be a Mexican citizen illegally present in the United States. Officials wrote that his removal would “serve an important federal interest.”

Martinez-Ballinas’s attorney, David Wooten said his client didn’t run out of malicious intent. He said his client is remorseful about the crash that killed the Marine and “There’s not a day that goes by where he doesn’t constantly think about (Walden).”

The Mexican national required a translator throughout the trial. However, shortly before the judge handed down his sentence he stood and spoke in English, saying he was “sorry for” acting “cowardly,” the Capital Gazette reported.”

|| Orange County Register

“LAGUNA BEACH — Just two days after the America First! rally at Main Beach that drew 2,500 and resulted in three arrests, Laguna Beach have arrested a fourth person on suspicion of assault.

According to police, a man was talking peacefully with a group of people at the rally Sunday when he was punched in the face by a man, who then fled.

On Monday, Aug. 22, police received a report of an assault and a video provided by the victim. The video had also been posted on social media sites.

“The video shows a black man wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ shirt hit squarely in the face by another man,” said Sgt. Jim Cota.

The victim, identified as R.C. Maxwell of Inglewood, told KTLA that he was attacked because of the color of his skin.

Maxwell told KTLA that he was attacked by someone from the left because he was a “black man who happens to support President Donald Trump.”

“It important we show violence on the left when it happens,” Maxwell said.

Laguna Beach police detectives recognized the man in the video and found him in town on Tuesday night as he was trying to buy a bus pass to Ohio. The man was identified as 20-year-old Richard Losey of Lancaster, Ohio.

“He was arrested on suspicion of battery and making threats,” Cota said.

On Sunday, Laguna Beach police also arrested Samuel Gonzales on suspicion of resisting and delaying arrest; Harlan William Pankau on suspicion of weapons charge for carrying a knife; and Trevail Dominique Johnson was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Police said Losey was booked into Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail on suspicion of misdemeanor battery with a hate crime enhancement.”
