Investigator Says Evidence Showing Deceased DNC Staffer Seth Rich Was Emailing With WikiLeaks
DC Police told to ‘stand down’ on murder investigation
“Monday during the 10 p.m. ET news broadcast on Fox’s Washington, D.C. affiliate WTTG, correspondent Marina Marraco said an investigation by former D.C. homicide detective Rod Wheeler found that the now-deceased Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich had been emailing with WikiLeaks.
Rich was killed last year in the northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C. According to local police, the incident was likely a botched robbery. However, Rich’s death has been the subject of other speculations given the timing of his death coincided with a WikiLeaks dump of Democratic National Committee emails.
Wheeler explained to Marraco the obstacles he has faced in dealing with both the local police and the FBI during his investigation and argued that Rich’s computer may offer some more details.
“(Neither) the police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming,” Wheeler said. “They haven’t been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or at the FBI. I have been told both.”
Wheeler went on to claim that he had a source within the police department who said the computer could link Rich to WikiLeaks. But he noted that a source within the police department told him of a “highly unusual” instruction for police to “stand down” on that murder investigation.
“Actually, I have a source inside the police department that has looked at me straight in the eye and said, ‘Rod, we were told to stand down on this case, and I can’t share any information with you.’ Now, that’s highly unusual for a murder investigation, especially from a police department. Again, I don’t think it comes from the chief’s office, but I do believe there is a correlation between the mayor’s office and the DNC and that is the information that’s going to come out tomorrow.”

Family’s private investigator: There is evidence Seth Rich had contact with WikiLeaks prior to death
“It has been almost a year since Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was murdered in the nation’s capital. There have been no solid answers about why he was killed until now.
Rich was shot and killed last July in Northwest D.C and police have suggested the killing in the District’s Bloomingdale neighborhood was a botched robbery. However, online conspiracy theories have tied the murder to Rich’s work at the DNC.
Just two months shy of the one-year anniversary of Rich’s death, FOX 5 has learned there is new information that could prove these theorists right.
Rod Wheeler, a private investigator hired by the Rich family, suggests there is tangible evidence on Rich’s laptop that confirms he was communicating with WikiLeaks prior to his death.
Now, questions have been raised on why D.C. police, the lead agency on this murder investigation for the past ten months, have insisted this was a robbery gone bad when there appears to be no evidence to suggest that.
Wheeler, a former D.C. police homicide detective, is running a parallel investigation into Rich’s murder. He said he believes there is a cover-up and the police department has been told to back down from the investigation.
When we asked Wheeler if his sources have told him there is information that links Rich to Wikileaks, he said, “Absolutely. Yeah. That’s confirmed.”

RAND PAUL REALLY WANTS TO KNOW IF OBAMA SPIED ON HIM
|| Vanity Fair
“Kentucky senator Rand Paul, apparently concerned that he was under surveillance by the Obama administration, is demanding answers from the intelligence community. “I have formally requested from the WH and the Intel Committees info on whether I was surveilled by Obama admin and or the Intel community!” Paul tweeted Friday morning, providing no evidence for the claim, which appeared to reflect President Donald Trump’s own unfounded claim that both his campaign and Trump Tower were bugged by the Obama White House.
It’s not clear whether this is a cry for help or attention, or whether Paul has simply been spending too much time next to Kellyanne Conway’s microwave. His series of tweets linked to a Circa report on N.S.A. surveillance, claiming that the agency collected and “searched” information pertaining to nearly 2,000 Americans abroad in 2016, after loosening privacy protections in 2011. “Did the Obama admin go after presidential candidates, members of Congress, journalists, clergy, lawyers, fed judges?” Paul wondered. “Did the Obama admin use warrantless ‘wiretapping’ on other candidates besides @realdonaldtrump?
F.B.I. director James Comey, National Security Agency director Mike Rogers, and Republican House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes have all said that there is no evidence Trump, Trump Tower, or his campaign were ever illegally surveilled.
Still, it’s not paranoia if they’re really out to get you. Last month, Paul sent Trump a letter asking him to look into a claim made by an “anonymous source” that Paul’s name was “unmasked” in the intelligence reports collected during the Obama administration. “In light of the revelations that the names of persons associated with the Trump campaign were unmasked,” Paul wrote, “I believe the allegations that myself and other elected members of the legislative branch may have also been unmasked or caught in the intelligence gathering warrants investigation.”
Now he wants Trump to conduct a formal investigation to determine whether he and other members of Congress were spied upon. ”
