US Base In Turkey On Lockdown, As Rumors Of Another Coup Swirl
– Daily Caller
Entrances and exits to the U.S. airbase at Incirlik were closed by Turkish police Saturday, Hurriyet, one of Turkey’s major newspapers, has reported.
The report came after pictures circulated on twitter showing Turkish police sealing off the airbase. Incirlik is a critical U.S. airbase for air operations against the Islamic State, and houses several U.S. nuclear weapons.”
TURKEY has sent police to surround the Incirlik air base it operates with the United States — and where a large stockpile of NATO nuclear weapons is held — ahead of a visit by a senior US official tomorrow.
Unconfirmed reports out of Turkey suggest all entrances to the air base have been blocked by heavy vehicles and police sent to secure its peremiter.
Some 7,000 armed police with heavy vehicles have surrounded and blocked the Incirlik air base in Adana used by NATO forces, already restricted in the aftermath of a failed coup. Unconfirmed reports say troops were sent to deal with a new coup attempt.

Biggest Takeaways from the Rep. Mike Honda Congressional Ethics Probe
– San Jose Insider
A congressional ethics probe doesn’t reflect well on Congressman Mike Honda, center, and his chief of staff Jennifer Van der Heide, second from left. (Photo via Facebook)
“Mike Honda has a huge problem. The ethics investigation into the eight-term congressman continues, and details released in hundreds of documents Thursday suggest his staff viewed official business as a commodity to be sold in exchange for campaign support. There’s also the issue of House staff routinely doing campaign work on taxpayer time.
The congressman may have no choice but to burn through campaign dollars for top-notch attorneys to make an embarrassing defense: The congressman shouldn’t be blamed for any violations because there was a lack of institutional control.
The arguments his lawyers make in response to the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) report is that even if something bad did happen, Honda had no clue. His chief of staff, Jennifer Van der Heide, and longtime district director, Meri Maben, had a much harder time making that argument. But that’s why Honda’s campaign is also paying their attorney fees.
We’ve combed through the all of the documents and here are some of the biggest findings:
The “1,000 Cranes” project—1,000 donors each donate $1,000, which equals $1 million—was discussed at a September 2012 retreat in obvious quid-pro-quo terms. It also appears to be Congressman Honda’s own idea.
Honda told investigators that retreats are “all official” business. When shown notes from Heystek’s presentation in 2012, as well as notes from an October 2013 retreat presentation from then-campaign manager Doug Greven, Honda admits improper coordination “did occur, I guess.” The OCE report has notes from Greven’s presentation that says policy will lead to district work, which is then parlayed into raising money for the campaign.
Honda says what we’re all thinking—“it doesn’t look good.”
– Essentially Mike Honda had his staff working on how to raise money for re-election by selling his office for any and all comers at 1000 dollars a pop. That has to be one of the cheapest bribes on record in the world. And this is the guy who represents a piece of Silicon Valley in the United States Congress? There’s more…./CJ
Honda Foe Khanna has painted him as out of touch and bought off by special interests
Khanna has the support of many big names in Silicon Valley, for example venture capitalist Vinod Khosla.
The Silicon Valley is gearing up for yet another race between incumbent Congressman Mike Honda and challenger Ro Khanna, who nearly took the seat from Honda in the 2014 midterms. That year, they faced each other in the primary and, again, in the general election — which Honda won.
This time around, Khanna maintained a scant 177-vote lead over Honda out of more than 67,000 ballots cast. And, as in 2014, they’ll face each other yet again in the November runoff.
“Ro Khanna is not your average candidate,” veteran political consultant Andrew Acosta said. “He’s well-positioned and has worked in the Obama administration.”
Khanna, who served from 2009 to 2011 as the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Department of Commerce, represents some of the stiffest competition faced by any incumbent Democrat in California.”
Ethics report: Rep. Mike Honda, staff appear to have violated federal law, House rules
– San Jose Mercury News
“Congressman Mike Honda and his staff appear to have improperly used U.S. government resources to benefit his re-election campaign and linked official activities to political donations, the Office of Congressional Ethics said Thursday as it released a long-awaited report.
The pattern of allegations represented the most serious charges leveled against a Bay Area House member in recent memory.
The independent nonpartisan office’s 41-page report, presented to the House Ethics Committee on June 5 but not made public until Thursday, details a series of instances in which Honda’s staffers — particularly Chief of Staff Jennifer Van der Heide and former District Director Meri Maben — blurred or crossed the line between their official duties and working for Honda’s campaign.
he report — based on a dozen interviews and about 1,400 pages of emails and documents provided by Honda’s office — says office staffers doubling as campaign volunteers apparently researched a potential campaign opponent, prepared campaign materials, used information from the congressional office for campaign purposes and regularly discussed campaign matters at official staff retreats and during “coffee breaks” in Honda’s congressional offices. Accounts from current and former staffers vary on whether these things occurred on the taxpayers’ dime.
According to the report, Honda told investigators he has attended his district office’s staff retreats, which he said were all official business. Then the investigators showed him notes from an October 2013 retreat at which campaign manager Doug Greven said that Honda’s Washington office makes policy, the district office arranges events and the campaign uses those events to raise money.
“It’s open to a lot of interpretation, but it doesn’t look good,” Honda acknowledged to investigators.
The congressman said this week that he was “pretty upset” and “disappointed” to learn of blurring of his office and his campaign, but that it had escaped his notice because he has “a very heavy schedule and I delegate a lot of the day-to-day activities,” a situation he “can only surmise” is typical of many lawmakers. “But like I said in the last campaign, I take full responsibility for that.”
Congressman Honda: Illegal Border Crosser ‘Kind of Person I’d Like to Have’ in America
– PJ Media
“PHILADELPHIA — An individual who crosses the border illegally into the United States is the kind of person Americans should want in the country because of their “strength” and “will,” Rep. Mike Honda (D-Calif.) told PJM.
Honda was asked for his response to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, who said illegal immigrants broke federal law after crossing the border and should be sent back to their home countries.
“We break a lot of laws in this country, you know, like selling firearms that shouldn’t be sold and get sent on the other side of the border to be used nefariously. I think that we have to look at why people come over and use that as a judgment rather than saying you didn’t come through the proper process. The process is broken,” Honda said at the Democratic National Convention.
During Operation Fast and Furious, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed gun dealers to sell firearms to illegal straw buyers with the hopes of tracking them. Some of the guns were lost and later traced to crime scenes on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, including the death of Border Patrol officer Brian Terry.
“We’re looking at youngsters who braved two or three borders to get here to escape rape, murder, the fear of terrorism of gangsters in Central America, and we’re telling them they’ve got to go back. What kind of a person has the strength and the will to travel that distance and come across that border? That’s the kind of person I’d like to have in this country. Give me a person with that kind of will and character and I’ll tell you that’s going to be a good American,” Honda continued.
The backlog of legal immigration applications is estimated at more than four million. In addition, 273 judges in the U.S. are currently handling more than 500,000 immigration cases, according to the Washington Examiner. Honda was asked if those should be processed before any pathway to citizenship is offered to illegal immigrants.”

Police detained the Bernie Sanders delegates inside DNC
Mainstream Media Ignore Day Four of Democratic National Convention Protests
“Protesters made their last stand Thursday night on day four of the Democratic National Convention, showing restraint outside the arena as they avoided taking their anger to a more violent and destructive level. Inside, angry Bernie Sanders delegates staged a massive walkout that the mainstream media covering Hillary Clinton’s address ignored.
Outside, protesters began a push towards the fence but were confronted with the law enforcement presence that at some points was seven layers deep. Other demonstrators yelled to keep things peaceful as a standoff began with the police.
Meanwhile, police detained the Bernie Sanders delegates inside and did not allow them to leave and join the other demonstrators.
After the balloons fell and the Democratic National Convention wrapped up, the Sanders delegates were allowed to join the protesters, but police kept at least one reporter from covering the protest.”
She failed the DC Exam, then followed Bill to Arkansas in ’73
“At this point what difference does it make?”
“In an article for a conservative Internet journal that has been widely distributed via chain e-mail, former Clinton adviser-turned-foe Dick Morris points out a little-known embarrassment about Sen. Hillary Clinton, who was a star law student at Yale.
“She flunked the D.C. bar exam and only passed the Arkansas bar,” he wrote.
In his biography of Hillary Clinton, former Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein notes that in the summer of 1973, 817 people took the Washington, D.C., bar exam; 551 of them passed. Hillary Rodham was not one of them.
“For the first time in her life she had flamed out — spectacularly, given the expectations of others for her, and even more so her own,” Bernstein wrote.
Bernstein said Clinton kept the news hidden for 30 years and shocked some of her closest friends when she made the revelation with a passing reference in her 2003 autobiography, Living History.
“Despite the satisfaction of my work, I was lonely and missed Bill more than I could stand,” she wrote. “I had taken both the Arkansas and Washington, D.C., bar exams during the summer, but my heart was pulling me toward Arkansas. When I learned that I passed in Arkansas but failed in D.C., I thought that maybe my test scores were telling me something.”
BILL’S REAL DNC LOVE STORY: CIA OPERATIVE MEETS POWER HUNGRY GIRL
The Clintons Sabotaged Progressives They Claim to Support
“Bill Clinton was a low-level CIA operative in the 1960s and Hillary Rodham a supporter of Barry Goldwater.
During an NPR interview in 1996, Clinton told Scott Simon her political beliefs were “rooted in the conservatism that I was raised with” and added that she is “very proud that I was a Goldwater girl.”
Clinton worked for the Goldwater campaign the same year the Civil Rights Act was passed. Goldwater opposed Section II of the Civil Rights Act on public accommodations and Section VII on equal employment opportunity and was one of six Republicans in the Senate who voted against the legislation.
Dr. Roger Morris writes in his book “Partners in Power: The Clintons and Their America,” Hillary Clinton was “a closet Contra supporter” who aided Contra funding from Little Rock, Arkansas and also used her influence to undermine the work of peace activists and pro-Sandinista church groups opposed to Reagan’s policies in Central America.
Morris demolishes the image of Bill and Hillary as liberals or conservatives. In a review of his book, The Sunday Telegraph writes the Clintons “have no conviction, no ideology, no guiding purpose. Driven by raw ambition, they will make any compromise necessary to advance their interests.
Once a CIA Agent, Always a CIA Agent
Prior to the partnership, Bill Clinton worked for the CIA during Operation CHAOS, an effort launched by LBJ and continued under Nixon to destroy the antiwar movement.
As a Rhodes scholar studying at Oxford, he spied on fellow students involved in protest activities against the Vietnam War. Bill was sent to Norway to monitor activists who had taken refuge in Scandinavia to avoid the draft. According to Morris, Clinton’s spying activity was confirmed by a CIA station officer in Stockholm.
Needless to say, Bill Clinton’s connection to the CIA has not made it into the official story and is certainly not part of the rosy narrative spun in Philadelphia last night.
Detractors insist Roger Morris is merely a conspiracy theorist. “But Morris is no lightweight. He worked at the White House in both the Johnson and Nixon administrations, resigning from the National Security Council in 1970 in protest over the US invasion of Cambodia. He went on to become an acclaimed biographer of Richard Nixon,” the Sunday Telegraph notes.”
“To show just how much the Bernie movement hates Hillary Clinton, James O’Keefe and Project Veritas dressed as Hillary fans and walked around the DNC, where they were promptly harassed – and attacked – by a Bernie mob.
The two Hillary “fans” were the only ones spotted near the DNC all week, and the harassment they endured debunks the claim by the mainstream media that Democrats are united behind Hillary.
Simply put, the Bernie movement is outraged at Hillary for stealing the election and millions of Sanders fans won’t vote for her, as these videos show.
That’s why the DNC and the mainstream media are working overtime to push a false narrative that Hillary has more support than she actually does.
For one thing, the DNC is replacing Sanders supporters with paid seat fillers inside the DNC arena to create a fake image of “unity,” according to a Sanders delegate.
“Every seat in the house is full – so those seat fillers you guys were hearing about? It’s real, they’re in here now,” he said.
The delegate also said the seat fillers were people he didn’t know and hadn’t seen at the convention previously – and their arrival coincided with the media narrative that the DNC is now united behind Hillary.”
Note to DNC: Stop Blaming Putin, YOU Wrote the Emails
– PJ Media
“Nobody cares about your damned emails!” – Well they do now.
“For those who find themselves in opposition to Democrats, the last couple of days have been hysterical. Despite the dysfunction on display last week at the Republican National Convention, it’s clear that the GOP has nothing on the Democrats.
Democrats immediately went on the offensive, blaming Russians for the DNC email hack and claiming Putin’s government is trying to influence American politics. While that may or may not be true (hard information on who is at fault is still unavailable), none of that has anything to do with the fact that it was Democrats who wrote the damning emails.
However, it doesn’t change the fact that the emails are the result of a hack — not a fabrication. Democrats wrote every email being thrown back at them. There’s a reason Debbie Wasserman-Schultz resigned, after all. It wasn’t because someone made something up, it’s because those emails are real.
None of this can be laid at the feet of Putin. While he may have been behind the hack, he wasn’t behind the real problem: the corrupt and prejudicial individuals who wrote them being so highly placed within the party.
– To the point: No one has asked a foreign power to engage in espionage. The invitation was proffered by a stunning lack of security by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. Nothing left to hack. The Russians and Chinese probably have all the emails. Hillary’s worst nightmare. But if she could not foresee this, how will she deal with other international risks that are not readily apparent?/CJ
Normandy: Jihadist Mosque Next Door to Beheaded Priest’s Church
– Breitbart London
“The more details that emerge surrounding the gruesome lethal attack on a priest in northern France Tuesday, the more it appears that the attack could have been foreseen and perhaps prevented.
On Tuesday morning, two jihadists associated with the Islamic State entered the parish church of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy while 84-year-old Father Jacques Hamel was celebrating Mass in the company of several members of the parish. The assailants seized Father Hamel and slit his throat before taking the other members of the congregation as hostages.
It turns out that the parish Church of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, the site of the assault, was on an Islamic State hit list recovered from suspected jihadist Sid Ahmed Ghlam, in April 2015. The 24-year-old Ghlam was arrested by French police, who believe he was a terrorist planning imminent attacks in France under the direction of Islamic State leaders.
At the time, an arsenal of weapons was discovered in Ghlam’s car as well as at his student residence, which included Kalashnikov rifles, a police-issue pistol, and a number of bullet-proof vests. Ghlam is currently in a high-security prison awaiting trial for numerous crimes including murder, attempted murder, association with criminals with a view to commit crimes and other infractions connected to a terrorist organization.
After the arrest, police discovered a list of Catholic sites to be targeted by Islamic State terrorists, which included the location of Tuesday’s attack.
The beautiful sixteenth-century church of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray is a French heritage monument, to which a tower was added in the 17th century.
More importantly, the church also “happened” to be right next door to the Yahiya mosque of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, whose best-known worshiper was the notorious French jihadist executioner Maxime Hauchard.”
Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray: why one of the perpetrators of the attack had been released
– Le Monde (translated)
Why Kermiche Adel, 19, identified as one of the murderers of Father Jacques Hamel in the church of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, near Rouen , Tuesday, July 25, he was released on 18 March, after ten months of detention? Le Monde has obtained parts of the judicial debate between the investigating judges and the prosecutor of Paris . At the time, the young man is indicted for “criminal association in relation with a terrorist enterprise” since March 2015 for having attempted to join jihadist groups in Syria . First put on probation, he was jailed in May 2015 after a second start attempt.”
– Essentially, the original article available in French, states the alleged murderer was considered mentally unstable enough to put certain severe restrictions on him, such as house arrest and and to wear a monitoring device, with set hours for being out of his house. Moreover, he was considered in criminal association with known terrorists. Why did the French release such a danger into France?

French Terrorist Who Killed Priest Was On A Watch List, Wore A Tracker
“One of the terrorists who stormed a historic Normandy church Tuesday and forced an 85-year-old priest to kneel before slitting his throat, was a known terror suspect and even wore an electronic tracking device.
French police reportedly likely placed the suspect on the country’s “S-list,” which includes suspects considered radicalized and subject to surveillance. The suspects inclusion on the list underscores the enormity of the challenge facing French counter-terrorism police. The French Center for the Analysis of Terrorism revealed in late June that France had 10,000 active terror suspects and only 5,000 police available to surveil them.
Worse, French anti-terror agents can only surveil 250 of the 10,000 suspects at any one time, because 24-hour surveillance requires twenty agents per suspect. French TV reported that the attacker who was on the watch list, previously tried to get to Syria, but was turned back over to French authorities by Turkish authorities. France reportedly released him in March.”
