U.S.-Backed Syrian Rebels Destroy Russian Helicopter with CIA-Provided TOW Anti-Tank Missile
“An emergency NATO session has been called for later today following Turkey shooting down a Russian SU-24 aircraft earlier today — reportedly the first incident of a NATO country shooting down a Russian or Soviet plane.
But following that shoot-down as Russian rescue helicopters searched for the pilots of that airplane, at least one of the helicopters was destroyed by U.S.-backed Syrian rebels using a CIA-provided TOW anti-tank missile.
Question: How did ISIS get these destructive weapons? Who in the US Govt ordered this?
Was this TOW missile acquisition related to Benghazi and is Hillary Clinton responsible? Or was she just following Obama’s orders?
Global Risk Insights provides an alternate take here, positing that our Saudi ‘allies’ have supplied the TOW’s with Obama’s approval: Global Risk Insights
….And more here from theConservativeTreeHouse:
“On August 12, 2013 Joe DiGenova, attorney for one of the Benghazi whistleblowers, told Washington D.C.’s WMAL that one of the reasons people have remained tight-lipped about Benghazi is because 400 U.S. missiles were “diverted to Libya” and ended up being stolen and falling into “the hands of some very ugly people.”
DiGenova represents Benghazi whistleblower Mark Thompson. He told WMAL that he “does not know whether [the missiles] were at the annex, but it is clear the annex was somehow involved in the distribution of those missiles.”

Finally, an excellent article on how the US TOW missiles ended up in Al-Queda’s hands thanks to Obama
“Given the Syrian rebels’ history of openly working along side or defecting to Al Qaeda groups, it is highly doubtful the US government did not predict the TOW missiles would end up in Al Qaeda’s hands.
It is more likely the US provided the rebels with the TOW missiles whilst knowing it would end up in the hands of Al Qaeda. Indeed it has been widely accepted, that Jabhat Al Nusra, ISIS and Ahrar al Sham, another Al Qaeda-linked group, are the most powerful groups opposing the Syrian army. The CFR wrote:
The Syrian rebels would be immeasurably weaker today without al-Qaeda in their ranks.
Whilst in future these weapons may be used against American personnel, for now the US is desperate for a victory against the Syrian government. The US might find reports of arms ending up with Al Qaeda embarrassing, but such embarrassment can be mitigated by controlling the amount of attention it gets from the US-run media.”
